Mark Denton is managing director of SMP Partners, one of the largest trust and corporate service providers in the Island with a workforce of around 160 and offices in Hong Kong, Zurich, Jersey and the Bahamas. By the time he was appointed ACSP Chairman in October 2012 Mark had worked for SMP Partners for over 25 years. Originally from Lincoln, Mark worked in London for 15 years, during which time he was a private banking manager with Grindlays Bank for seven years before joining what is now SMP Partners in 1988 then moving within the company in 1997 to the Isle of Man where he took up the position of managing director in 2007.

David Bester read law at Stellenbosch University in South Africa before graduating with a Masters Degree in Law from Cambridge University. From 1988 until 2006 he was the Managing Director of Trident Trust Company (I.O.M.) Limited, a member of the Trident Trust Group and one of the largest Fiduciary Service Providers in the Isle of Man. Between 2007 and 2011 David was the Regional Manager of Trident Group fiduciary operations in Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Luxembourg and Malta. Since 2012 he has been Trident Group Head of Legal and Compliance, in which role he oversees a number of complex family structures and also heads up the Group team responsible for all aspects relating to the implementation of FATCA and the Common Reporting Standard.

He was instrumental in the original formation of the Association of Corporate Service Providers and served as its first Chairman from June 1999 to December 2002.

Basil Bielich studied at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa and qualified as a Chartered Accountant 1994 after completing his training with Ernst & Young. He gained a wide range of experience in the industrial and commercial sectors while employed by a multinational company.

Basil relocated to the Isle of Man in 1997 and was appointed as a director of Browne Craine & Co Chartered Accountants shortly thereafter. He is also a director of Peregrine Corporate Services Limited which is a licenced Corporate and Trust Service Provider. Basil is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales (ICAEW) and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). Basil has a wealth of experience advising and managing a wide portfolio of trust, corporate and individual clients and has a particular interest in niche technology and internet companies.

Graeme has worked in the financial services sector for over 35 years, the last 20 within governance, regulatory, risk and compliance disciplines. He is Head of Compliance for the Cains Group and also a founder director of a regulatory, risk and governance consultancy practice. Previously he was head of compliance and a director of Bank of Bermuda (Isle of Man) Limited and latterly of HSBC's Securities Services Isle of Man business.

Paul joined Abacus as a Senior Manager in September 1996 when it was part of Coopers & Lybrand Isle of Man.

In April 2005 he was promoted to Operations Director and was appointed as a Director to the board of Abacus Trust Company Limited and Abacus Financial Services Limited in April 2006. In 2015 Paul was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Abacus Malta.

Paul has over 25 years experience in Operations, 20 years of which have been spent within the financial services sector. As head of Abacus Malta, Paul is responsible for overseeing its operations as well as continuing with his responsibility for IT and Systems, Finance and Administration, Compliance and Risk across the group.

Paul holds a BSc Hons degree in Applied Statistics and Computing, a Diploma in Company Direction and is a Member of the Institute of Directors.
