Jenny Akrigg: Jenny has more than 14 years' experience in accountancy and tax consultancy, joining Equiom Tax Services Limited (ETSL) from a Big Four advisory firm in 2017. Jenny specialises in providing advice to UK resident, non-UK domiciled individuals on inheritance tax and offshore trust/company structure planning, specifically including the implications of UK taxes affecting the holding of UK properties. Jenny also provides technical support in respect of international developments including the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and Economic Substance matters. Jenny is a first-class honours graduate of Sheffield Hallam University and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (England & Wales) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation. She is also a committee member of the Isle of Man branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and has sat on various other industry and Isle of Man Government advisory committees.
Mark A Hagan: Mark has over 25 years of indirect tax experience commencing his career with a blue chip multi-national insurance company headquartered in Liverpool and latterly as a VAT Director of a Big Four advisory firm based in Manchester before joining Equiom Tax Services Ltd (ETSL) in January 2001. Mark led a team of 30 plus indirect tax professionals across the Northwest of England servicing several key sectors including education, large corporate, retail, financial services, and pension funds before specialising in cross border supply re-structuring pre-Brexit. He has particular experience in the property sector providing both VAT compliance and structuring advice to both full taxable and partially exempt entities. During his indirect tax career, Mark has been responsible for the VAT arrangements of single medium value property transactions to multi-million-pound property investment portfolios.
