Legal practitioners are seeing a growing trend in the issuance of POCA restraint and property freezing Orders.
What should you do in the event that the assets or entities you administer or manage become the subject of a restraint or property freezing Order pursuant to the Proceeds of Crime Act 2008?
In this seminar, Claire Corkish, Partner at Appleby Global, will explore what these Orders are, their purpose and their differences, before moving on to consider when and how you or your clients may be impacted and what you should do in the circumstances. Can you continue to administer the entities? Can you be paid? To include the circumstances in which you may be able to obtain a variation or discharge of the Order, together with some practical tips and considerations.
