This course helps delegates learn why financial statements need to be prepared for a business, the underlying concepts and understanding the definitions of elements within the financial statements. The course focuses heavily on understanding and creating simple double-entry bookkeeping with lots of practice and examples. Finally, creating a simple set of financial statements from the initial transaction and understanding the flow of information during this process.
Having attended this course, delegates will:
-Understand why all entities need to keep financial records and what they look like
-Have more confidence in producing double-entry journals for bookkeeping
-Understand the flow-through of an individual transaction to the final financial statements
