Barry Smith is a consultant at DQ Advocates. He has recently retired as Group Legal Director at Equiom. Barry has extensive experience in work relating to company acquisitions and sales over many years in practice.
Kristan King is a Director in KPMG's Deal Advisory team and leads their corporate transactions engagements. He has 15 years of transactions experience, 10 of which were spent with KPMG in Manchester and the last five years have been back home on the Isle of Man. He has worked on a range of transactions from the very small to the very large working for both buyers and sellers, private equity clients and corporate clients in either a financial due diligence role or as lead advisor. He has worked on 15-20 TCSP transactions across a number of jurisdictions since returning to the Island.
Adam Killip is a Senior Associate advocate at DQ Advocates and has 5 years' post-qualification experience advising on a range of company acquisition and sales, both in the regulated and non-regulated sectors. Adam's practice is mainly corporate and commercial work although he is also a member of DQ's Regulatory and Compliance team, advising on a range of regulatory matters including licensing applications and interpretation of the Financial Services Rule Book and Regulated Activities Order. Within the last 12 months Adam has acted for buyers and sellers of licensed TCSPs and also has experience assisting TCSPs with the acquisition and disposal of companies for their own clients.
