Jo French: Adjunct Tutor at the School of International Financial Services
Jo, through her company JETT Limited, specialises in developing contemporary bespoke, technical in-house CPD programmes covering a range of AML, compliance and governance issues. She has over 25 years' experience in delivering credible training to a wide range of financial service businesses both in the Crown Dependencies and internationally, as well as institutions that include the BBA, the ACSP in the Isle of Man and the Guernsey Training Agency. In addition, she has taught on the International Compliance Association's full range of AML and compliance qualifications since 2005, and as a Fellow of the Governance Institute (formally ICSA) written and delivered across both level 4&5 Certificate and Diploma as well as the qualifying scheme, (subjects include Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Boardroom Dynamics, Company Law and Company Compliance and Administration.)
A committed educationalist, Jo has a First Class Law Degree (LLB) and Masters in Law (LLM) (Merit) from Queen Mary University of London specialising in financial services law. She is passionate about the delivery of accessible and innovative training courses.
Katarina Cook: Head of Financial Crime at Brewin Dolphin
Previous roles include Head of Compliance for Europe Arab Bank, Dep MLRO for Bank ABC and Head of Conduct & Regulatory Affairs for RBS Netherlands in Amsterdam. Originally from Sweden, with a degree in Political Science and Russian, Katarina moved to London in 2005.
She held a number of different KYC and AML related roles in ABN Amro/RBS, which sparked her interest in financial crime and led to a career in financial crime prevention for financial institutions. Katarina is Co-Chair for the ACAMS UK Chapter, excited to support ACAMS® and industry practitioners to stay informed of regulatory change, trends and best practices.
Fiona Wilson: Group Partner - Risk, Regulatory and Advisory Team at Collas Crill
Fiona's practice spans contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters and mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and shareholders agreements particularly in relation to trading and regulated businesses.
Fiona qualified as a lawyer in Australia in 1997 and as Jersey Advocate in 2005. Fiona has broad experience in relation to all aspects of regulated businesses including a number of years' experience as a dispute resolution lawyer, nearly 10 years' experience in senior positions in the financial services industry and over 7 years' experience as a corporate and regulatory lawyer in private practice.
At Collas Crill Fiona has advised regulated financial services businesses in relation to regulatory investigations, remediation programmes, AML/CFT matters, as well as assisting with applications for licences, advising on corporate governance matters and assisting with acquisitions and due diligence.
Fiona has also advised on sales and purchases of regulated and trading businesses, competition, regulatory applications and employment issues and shareholder arrangements and restructurings of regulated and trading business groups.
